Hunger virus

It is true that the coronavirus pandemic has caused thousands of deaths in Pakistan. However, there is another virus – the hunger virus – which is killing tens of people every day.

The pandemic has deepened the hunger crisis in the country. Many families sleep on an empty stomach. This crisis, however, can easily be dealt with if the government takes some effective steps. The country’s poor need the immediate attention of the authorities.
