KARACHI: Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh on Tuesday demanded of the federal government to put the name of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah on the Exit Control List (ECL) to foil his possible attempt to run away to Canada. “A big positive change in Sindh had become inevitable since the corrupt PPP rulers had become a security risk for the province and its people,” said Sheikh, who is also PTI’s Central Vice President, while addressing a press conference in the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday. He alleged that the Sindh chief minister had already started his preparations to again settle in Canada after sensing his possible unceremonious eviction from his office in the coming days. Sheikh predicted that Murad Ali Shah would not contest the next general elections. He said that after former chief minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, more notable people from the province with clean political career were likely to join the PTI in the coming days.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan would soon visit a number of districts of the province besides addressing public gatherings. “All the federal government institutions would be seen providing relief in every part of the province,” he added.

He said the people of Sindh will not be left at the mercy of the corrupt rulers, adding “lawlessness had reached the point of no return and the entire province needed a massive ruthless operation against the criminals both in rural and urban areas.”

Shiekh said vaccines are being provided to provincial authorities for the vaccination of the people against the deadly coronavirus but in the Sindh province, the government officials are selling it in Karachi, Larkana and other districts despite increase in Covid-19 cases.
