Almost every Pakistani is aware of the dangers of Covid-19. It is surprising to see many people are still flouting SOPs and are acting as if the country isn’t tackling a deadly virus. There are so many people who still deny the existence of the coronavirus. One fails to understand why we want to remain ignorant. What else do we need to believe that the world is dealing with a pandemic. Do we want to lose someone close to use to admit the dangers of the virus?
We can contain the spread of the virus if we start taking this virus seriously and follow science. We must act responsibly and take all precautionary measures to fight against the virus.

It is true that the situation of Covid-19 in Turbat is hardly highlighted in the media, but this doesn’t mean that the city is not battling with an alarming number of coronavirus cases. The higher authorities have imposed a lockdown in the city in an attempt to contain the spread of the virus. It is quite frustrating that these strict measures have failed to encourage people to take the virus seriously. A majority of people are still refusing to wear a face mask. On the one hand, the authorities have ordered that all shops will be closed by 6pm. On the other hand, there are people who gather outside closed shops to spend some time. Why are we not taking precautionary measures? This isn’t the time to be careless. People should wear masks every time they step out of their houses. It is easy to close education institutions and shops, however, it is too difficult to ensure that people are following SOPs. The authorities must take strict action people who flout SOPs. This is the only way to keep the situation under control.
