Martyred soldier laid to rest in Waziristan
WANA: A havaldar of the Pakistan Army, who had embraced martyrdom in a firing incident, was laid to rest with state honours in Kaniguram area in South Waziristan tribal district on Sunday.
Havaldar Fathullah Kaikhel Mahsud had embraced martyrdom in a firing incident in Kaniguram area. A large number of local people, civil and military officials attended his funeral prayer. A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pak Army later presented a guard of honour and placed floral wreaths on the grave of martyred havaldar on behalf of Inspector General of Frontier Corps (South) Umar Bashir and WTF Kanigaram Brigade Brigadier Asif Maqsood.
Officials presented Pakistan national flag to the father of martyred havaldar and also gave ration to the family. The martyred havaldar has left behind a widow, a 12-year old son and 10-year old daughter.
