‘Programme launched to eliminate corruption
from govt departments’
GUJRANWALA: Senior Adviser to Federal Ombudsmen Malik Muhammad Iqbal has said that the government has launched a swift response programme to eliminate corruption from the government departments.
Talking to media at the press club here on Tuesday, he said that the programme was launched to file complaints against officials and officers, which would be decided within 15 days. He told that the ombudsmen office had also been set-up at the Gepco Office, Gujranwala. He said that initially this programme was launched in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Kasur and Nankana Sahib districts and this would be extended to other districts. Press club chairman Tariq Munir Butt, general secretary Tanvir Ahmed Butt, Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Azam Butt, Dr Umer Nasir and Shahid Rasool were also present.
