LAHORE:Nawab Town police registered a case against seven unknown persons on the charges of kidnapping a 35-year old woman from her house in Dubai Town.
Seven unidentified men stormed into the house of the victim identified as “N” in Dubai Town on July 20 and kidnapped her. The victim was an employee of Muhammad Faisal Haneef advocate. As per complainant Faisal, the kidnappers came to the house of the victim in two vehicles, including a single cabin dala, dragged her out of the house, bundled her into the vehicle and drove away from the scene.
The vehicles being used by the kidnappers had no registration number plates. The victim’s sister told the police that “N” had been serving in the house of one Shaukat of Ali Razabad for two months.
arrested: Police arrested four persons for illegally collecting hides in the city during Eid days. The accused identified as Azhar Abbas, Hamza, Kashif and Riaz were arrested by Cantt Division Police Factory Area, Defence B and Defence C police. Hides of five animals were recovered from their possession. Defense C police further arrested nine accused for cleaning trotters by burning them on roadsides. The accused include Jabbar, Imran, Babar, Zahid and others.
accidents: Around 32 persons were killed and 4,397 injured in road traffic accidents during Eid holidays. DG PESD reviewed emergency data and discussed major emergencies in detail in a meeting on Friday. Rescue 1122 rescued 10,811 emergency victims in 11,259 emergencies in all districts of Punjab during Eid holidays. Rescue Service responded to 3,898 road traffic crashes in which 32 lives were lost. The highest number of road traffic crashes 1,532 was managed by Rescue Service on the second day of Eid.
The Emergency Ambulance, Rescue and Fire Services responded to 3,898 emergencies of road traffic crashes, 5,307 medical emergencies, 293 crime incidents, 179 fire incidents, 31 drowning, 372 delivery cases and 1,179 other emergencies such as fall from a height, electric shock, burn cases and occupational injuries.
The meeting was also informed that higher number of emergencies 1,707 occurred in Lahore including 800 road traffic crashes. Multan responded to 800 emergencies, including 297 accidents, Faisalabad dealt with 753 emergencies with 282 road accidents, Bahawalpur responded to 641 emergencies with 165 accidents, DG Khan responded to 473 emergencies, including 103 accidents and Sahiwal dealt with 491 emergencies, including 133 accidents during Eid holidays.
bikes seized: Samanabad police arrested three accused of taking away motorbikes, recovered four bikes and two pistols from their possession.
The accused identified as Shah Nawaz, Uasar and Zain had confessed to committing dozens of such crimes in various parts of the city.
Swindler: Sarwar Road Investigation police arrested a man on charges of swindling. The accused identified as Ahmed Naseer used to take money from the citizens on the pretext of sending them to perform Hajj and Umrah and change the area after committing crime.
hit to death: A 13-year old boy was killed in a traffic accident near Manga Mandi on Friday. The victim identified as Muzammil was crossing the road when a speeding car hit him, resulting into his instant death. The accused driver escaped from the scene.
found dead: A 30-year old man was recovered dead from canal near Campus Bridge Muslim Town on Friday. The body, yet to be identified, looked three to four days old. Police shifted the body to the morgue.
