Cop killed over land dispute

TIMERGARA: A police constable was shot dead near the bus terminal here on Tuesday morning, police said.
They said police constable Muhammad Sadeeq Khan was standing on the road near Timergara bus terminal while waiting for public transport to his village Shago Kas after performing duty at Lajboak village when one Nisar allegedly shot him in the head, killing him on the spot.
Police said the accused, Nisar, who was currently residing in Peshawar, was arrested from the nearby hills in Sheikhano and was shifted to Timergara Police Station.
They said the cause of the murder was an old enmity over a land dispute between the two families.
