Sit-in if AJK polls rigged: Maryam
HAVELI, AJK: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz Monday said her party would give call for a sit-in on the Constitution Avenue, Islamabad if the July 25 AJK elections were rigged.
"We will not accept results if elections were rigged," she said while addressing a rally here ahead of polls. "How much did Sardar Tanvir Ilyas buy you (Imran Khan) and how much did you try to buy the votes of Kashmiris through your new ATM?" she asked, reports Geo News.
Maryam alleged that PM Imran Khan had "smuggled his new ATM" Ilyas into AJK from Islamabad. "Ilyas had bribed a government official by giving him Rs1 billion; think what he must've given to Imran Khan."
The PML-N vice-president said despite using government funds for small rallies, the premier's party was unable to attract people, and following their ‘public humiliation’, PTI candidates were asking PM Imran Khan not to come back to their constituencies.
