Explosives, suicide vest recovered in Bajaur

KHAR: The police and security forces in a joint action recovered explosives and a suicide vest from different places in Bajaur tribal district on Saturday.

Official sources said that the security and police personnel on intelligence-based information jointly carried out operations in two separate places and recovered explosive material and a suicide jacket.

They said the police and security forces launched a search operation and recovered explosives fitted in a motorcycle from a home in Lara Banda village in Khar tehsil.

In another action, the security personnel raided a tunnel situated in Bara Kamangara in Nawa Pass near Pak-Afghan and recovered a suicide vest.

The sources said that terrorists of banned Tehrik-e-Taliban on the behest of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) had planned the attacks on Melas, Eidgahs, and security forces during the upcoming Eid but the timely action of security forces foiled the possible sabotage acts.

There was no report about the arrest of any militant during the action.
