Kashmiris observe accession to Pakistan day today
MUZAFFARABAD: Kashmiris living on both sides of the Line of Control will observe the ‘Accession to Pakistan’ day on Monday with the firm determination to continue their struggle for the liberation of occupied Kashmir from India in line with the United Nations resolutions. Functions and seminars will be held in the state to draw the world's attention towards the unresolved Kashmir dispute, which is posing a potential threat to world peace. In his message on the occasion, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan said that 19th July had a significant importance in the freedom history of Kashmir, when the Kashmiris decided to link their destiny with Pakistan. He said Kashmiris have been struggling to realise the dream of accession to Pakistan and offering unprecedented sacrifices for the achievement of the goal of liberation.
The AJK PM said India had deployed more than 8 lakh forces in the occupied Kashmir to crush the liberation struggle, being waged by the people of occupied Kashmir for implementation of their fundamental right to self-determination.
He expressed the hope that the long night of terror and suppression would soon end and Kashmiris would get their internationally recognised right to self-determination.
