CDA’s revenues jump manifold

Islamabad: After adoption of model byelaws in 2020 the approvals by Capital Development Authority (CDA) has jumped manifolds as compared to previous years, says a press release.
Consequently revenues have also multiplied manifolds.
CDA has earned Rs100 million in 2016 from approvals. But in 2020 the fee collected due to increased approvals was Rs1.8 billion.
In 2021, in last six months alone CDA approved nearly 90 per cent of applications and the total number for 2020 and generated Rs1.5 billion so far. Increased approvals results in more economic activity and creation of employment. In August 2021 another regimen for approvals is planned for launch which would add to more transparency to the process.
