Man awarded death sentence
Rawalpindi: Additional District and Sessions Judge (Rawalpindi) Muhammad Afzal Majoka awarded death sentence on two counts to a government servant for killing his wife and daughter. The court also imposed a fine of Rs1 million on him as well.
The court awarded the death sentence to Mujahid Ali on charges of killing his wife Hina Ashfaq and daughter Anaya over a domestic dispute. The accused was working in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
Naseerabad Police Station registered the case against Mujahid Ali on murder charges in January 2021. According to details, the accused killed his wife and daughter and placed their bodies in separate rooms of his house and later, he got admission in a hospital as a coronavirus patient.
However, the police arrested him after some days, and he confessed to his crime during the investigation.
