Increase in corona vaccination ratio observed

LAHORE : Following the launch of intensive vaccination drive, a huge increase has been observed in the corona vaccination ratio.

Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Sarah Aslam said on Thursday only vaccination was the real remedy against COVID-19 and its new delta variant. She said that 350,785 people were vaccinated in Punjab in the last 24 hours while 44,767 people were vaccinated in Lahore. The number of vaccinated people in Punjab has reached 11,243,140 so far. Sarah Aslam said there was elevation in corona cases due to delta variants as 386 cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Total 329,203 corona patients have fully recovered and there are 9,056 active cases till date. In the last 24 hours, 194 cases were reported in Lahore, 91 cases in Rawalpindi, 22 cases in Faisalabad, 10 in Sialkot, 9 in Chakwal, 9 in Multan and 8 cases in Mianwali. The health secretary advised the public to follow the corona SOPs. She also appreciated the public inclusion in the vaccination campaign.
