MANSEHRA: The JUI-F leader Mufti Kifayatullah on Saturday said that his party was striving for the enforcement of Shariah through peaceful means.
“I was punished for promoting my party’s ideology, which never compromised on principles and peacefully struggles for the enforcement of Shariah in the country,” he told a gathering of party’s workers in Tarangri area. The gathering was organised to welcome Mufti Kifayatullah on his release from jail.
Mufti Kifayatullah, who was released on bail from the Haripur jail in a treason case after a four-month captivity on Friday, said that he would never remain silent over issues, which could derail democratic set up in the country.
