NOWSHERA: The police seized 33 kilogram charas and one kilogram opium and arrested the alleged smuggler in the limits of Azakhel Police Station on Tuesday.
The Azakhel police had barricaded the road for checking vehicles and suspicious people. They singalled a car (GTE-308) for checking. Upon thorough checking, the police recovered 33.5 kilogram charas and one kilogram opium from the secret cavities of the car.
The alleged drugs smuggler identified as Muhammad Shahzad, a resident of Rawalpindi, was arrested and the car was impounded. A pistol from the accused possession.
