Man held for ‘molesting’ British girl in Lahore
LAHORE: The Lahore police arrested a suspect on Thursday for allegedly molesting a British girl who was visiting Pakistan to attend the funeral of her father.
According to police, the 26-year-old girl went to the house of a close friend of her father after an altercation with her step-mother where she was staying in the city’s Sher Shah Road Cantonment area.
However, the man’s son, Faizan, allegedly detained the girl at his house on Wahdat Road and molested her for three days.
On June 29, she succeeded in seeking police help on emergency number 15. The girl told the police about the incident following which a case was registered against Faizan. The police conducted medical and DNA tests of the victim and arrested the suspect.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the Lahore police chief. He has also directed the officers concerned for taking strict action against the alleged culprit.
