PESHAWAR: The Provincial Seerat Conference is scheduled to be held on January 7 at 10:00 am at the Auqaf Auditorium Office of the Administrator Auqaf (Eidgah) Charsadda Road, Peshawar. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Auqaf, Haj, Religious and Minority Affairs will be the chief guest, said a handout.

PESHAWAR: The police arrested four militants belonging to a banned militant organisation during a raid in Pishtakhara Chowk here on Friday, sources said. An official communiqué stated that acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid in Pishtakhara Chowk and arrested four militants circulating pamphlets of a militant group. The detained militants were identified as Nisar Ahmed, Shermat, Abid Faraz and Abdullah. The police also seized pamphlets from their possession and shifted them to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Man killed over petty issue

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A man was shot dead over a petty dispute in the limits of the Khaisor Police Station on Friday, police said. Hati Khan told the police that his son, Javed, had exchanged harsh words with his uncle Aslam over a domestic dispute in Kari Khaisor area.The police said that Aslam allegedly opened fire on him, killing him on the spot.
