Two soldiers martyred in cross-border attack
MIRANSHAH: Two soldiers embraced martyrdom when Afghanistan-based terrorists attacked a checkpost in Dwatoi area in North Waziristan on Wednesday.
The sources said the terrorists opened fire on a military post in Dwatoi early in the day, martyring two soldiers. The Pakistan Army responded in a befitting manner, they added. According to the Inter Services Public Relations in a statement, the shuhada include Havaldar Saleem, 43, and Lance Naik Pervaiz, 35. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan has consistently been asking Afghanistan to ensure effective border control on their side. Pakistan strongly condemns the continuous use of Afghan soil for terrorist activities against Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has condemned the cross-border terrorist attack. He condoled with families of martyred soldiers and prayed for high ranks of the departed souls in Jannah. The Chief Minister also prayed for early recovery of injured soldiers in the terrorist attack.
