Saqlain wants Yousuf as batting coach
LAHORE: Saqlain Mushtaq, head of international player development at the National High Performance Centre (NHPC), has backed Mohammad Yousuf as the next batting coach of Pakistan.
According to the former mystery spinner, the current batting coach at NHPC is an ideal candidate to replace Younis Khan, who resigned just before the England series.
“We should forget what happened in the past and move on. Yousaf was a world class player and could be successful as batting coach as well,” he said while talking to media here at the LCCA ground.
Saqlain said the coaches at NHPC had worked diligently with the white ball and red ball players. “We planned this camp after consultation with the team management and will continue this in the future as well,” he added.
