239,031 children administered anti-typhoid vaccine

LALAMUSA: Chief Executive Officer District Health Authority Dr Naeem Akhtar Janjua Wednesday said some 239,031 children have been vaccinated against typhoid in the district till June 22 during the campaign.
He said the campaign was launched in 32 urban union councils comprising urban areas of the district as per the instructions of CM Punjab for which 392 teams have been formed.
The CEO Health informed that a target was given to vaccinate 225,128 children against typhoid till June 22 while above the target given has been achieved. The 88,035 students of private and government schools have been vaccinated while with the cooperation of community, 150,996 children from 9 months to 15 years have been vaccinated against typhoid.
