LAHORE:Around 17 patients died from COVID-19 while another 76 new cases were confirmed in Punjab province during the last 24 hours.
Of these 17 deaths, nine deaths were reported from District Lahore alone, bringing the total number of corona-related deaths to 4,294 in the provincial metropolis alone. According to report issued by Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SH) Department Punjab on Tuesday, the death toll reached 10,659 in Punjab, while confirmed cases became 345,141 in the province.
Around 12,830 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours raising the number of total tests to 5,511,541 in the province while 325,136 patients have recovered in the province so far. The spokesperson, while quoting the P&SH Department Punjab Secretary Sarah Aslam, said that all vaccination centres were open and vaccination was available in abundance at all these centres.
