BATKHELA: The elders of Alladhand Dheri on Sunday opposed the construction of proposed judicial complex on their agricultural land in Sholgara near the interchange on Swat Expressway.
Talking to reporters, the elders of Alladhand Dheri Qaumi Jirga, including Abdul Jamil, Wazir Muhammad, Fazal Qadir Khan, Fasihullah, Fazal Rabi and others rejected the government decision to construct the judicial complex on their agricultural land in Sholgara. They said they were ready to give land for an alternative site for the construction of judicial complex but would never allow the government to deprive them of their farming land.
The elders said that agricultural land could not be used for development work and housing schemes as per Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Vision. They said that the Alikhel tribe would provide a suitable land for the judicial complex than the one in Sholgara but would not allow the government to use the agriculture land for the project.
