Haroon gets injured, wins bronze in Beirut

ISLAMABAD: Haroon Khan was badly injured during the -54kg category match in the Asian Taekwondo Championship against Tajikistan’s opponent during his winning efforts.
Haroon downed his opponent and was leading quite comfortably placed when he was hit on the nose by Tajik using foul tactics. Haroon was declared the winner and was awarded a bronze medal. Later the Pakistani top player was taken to hospital where an x-ray revealed he had no broken nose. However, doctors advised him against playing semi-finals and taking any further part in the competition.
