Shehbaz’s defamation case against PM: Hearing adjourned seeking reply from Imran’s counsel on 26th

LAHORE: The Additional District and Sessions court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a defamation suit filed by PML-N Chief Shehbaz Sharif against Prime Minister Imran Khan till June 26.
The court adjourned the hearing after issuing directions to counsel of Imran Khan to submit reply of the suit on next hearing. As per details, in 2017, Shehbaz had sent Rs10 billion defamation notice to PTI Chairman Imran Khan. The notice, which had been filed under Sections 4 and 9 of the Defamation Ordinance 2002, stated that Imran accused Shehbaz of offering him financial aid for his 'silence over the Panama Papers case'.
