Khursheed Shah released on parole to attend funeral
SUKKUR: Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Khursheed Shah and his son were released on Tuesday on parole for 48 hours to attend the funeral of a relative in Sukkur.
Reports said the Accountability Court released Syed Khursheed Shah on mandatory parole for 48 hours to attend the funeral of his nephew Syed Ghulam Mujtaba Shah. It is pertinent to mention that Khursheed Shah is in NAB’s custody in Rs1.23 billion corruption reference. They said his son Syed Furrukh Shah, who was one of the accomplices in the same corruption reference, was also released on parole. Meanwhile, Khursheed Shah, his son, political leaders, residents, traders and others attended the funeral of Syed Ghulam Murtaza Shah, Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sukkur, who passed away on Monday.
