Two arrested for gambling on PSL matches

LAHORE:Nawankot police arrested two suspected gamblers. The arrested suspects have been identified as Mirza Adeel Baig and Mirza Shakoor Baig. Police recovered seven mobile phones, LCDs and cash from their custody. They were involved in gambling on PSL matches. A case has been registered against them. Meanwhile, a suspected proclaimed offender was arrested by Ghaziabad police. The arrested suspect has been identified as Salman alias Sallu. He was involved in multiple incidents of burglary in shops, houses and mobile theft cases.

SUICIDE: A 30-year old unidentified man committed suicide after climbing an electric pole in Gulshan-e-Ravi on Tuesday. The victim was reportedly mentally unstable. He climbed up an electric pole and touched the high tension wires. He received an electric shock, fell down and died.

VALUABLES BURNT: Valuables reduced to ashes in an incident of fire in a house in Shahdara on Tuesday. Reportedly, it started as a minor fire in Kakkay Zai Mohalla due to short circuit. The nearby people tried to control it and called Rescue teams. Firefighters reached the spot on information and extinguished it. No loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.

ARRESTED: Three suspects have been arrested by Harbancepura police on charges of extortion on Tuesday. The arrested suspects have been identified as Waheed Butt, Faisal Mansha and Iftikhar Bittu. They were involved in incidents of extortion from the shopkeepers in the area. They were also allegedly involved in murder and burial of a woman over refusal to re-marry her ex-husband.

Thief: Ghaziabad investigation police on Thursday arrested a thief wanted in several theft cases. The arrested thief was identified as Suleman.

FOUND DEAD: A 22-year old unidentified man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Garden Town on Tuesday. A passerby spotted the victim lying in an unconscious condition in a park and informed police. A police team shifted him to hospital where he died.
