LAHORE : CCPO Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has said all out efforts are being made to protect employees of police department from coronavirus.
The CCPO said Corona Vaccination Centre at Police Lines THQ Hospital Qila Gujjar Singh is providing maximum vaccination facilities to the police personnel on daily basis with a view to make the police force secure from the pandemic.
He said 4,972 police personnel have so far been vaccinated at this centre during the last 35 days. Dogar directed MS Hospital Doctor Adnan Masood to provide best possible facilities to police personnel visiting the vaccination centre.
As many as 1,076 police officers and officials of Lahore police have so far been affected by Covid-19 and 973 police officers and officials have joined their duties after recovery and defeating the pandemic. As many as 98 police officers and officials of Lahore Police affected from COVID-19 are still quarantined at their homes, he added. As many as 2 DIGs, 3 senior police officers of SSP rank, 8 SSP, 24 DSPs, 33 inspectors, 121 sub-inspectors, 91 ASIs, 15 senior traffic wardens, 161 traffic wardens along with 97 head constables, 466 constables as well as junior and senior clerks suffered from coronavirus.
