Two die as lightning hits 2 houses in Torghar
MANSEHRA: Two persons, including a woman, were killed and three others sustained injuries when lightning hit two houses in Torghar district, officials said on Saturday.
“A woman and a boy were killed and four people sustained injuries in the lighting incidents. And the injured are being treated at this health facility,” Dr Ahsanullah, the head of the Basic Health Unit, Dormera, told reports.
The lighting, which was followed by the heavy rain and windstorm hit two houses, in Judbah Lami and Shanguldar villages and left Rukhsana Bibi and Mohammad Radif, 10, dead.
Three persons, including Muhammad Miskeen, Sahib Gul, and Khumzar Jan Bibi, received serious wounds and were rushed to the Basic Health Unit, Dormera, where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, the Rescue 1122 personnel rescued three tourists, who were trapped in a mountainous area in Naran.
