Anti-rabies’ vaccines sought for Miranshah hospital
MIRANSHAH: Over 50 persons bitten by stray and mad dogs were brought to the District Headquarters Hospital from various areas of the district for treatment during the last one week.
Hospital sources showed a list of 52 persons, including men, women and children bitten by stray and mad dogs in Boya, Miranshah Killay, Daigan, Saidgi, Tapi, Land Saidabad, Machas and other areas, had been admitted to the hospital for vaccination.
They said that the stock of anti-rabies’ vaccines were about to exhaust and if more such cases were brought then it would be not possible for them to provide medical treatment to the patients at the health facility.
They asked the health department authorities to arrange anti-rabies’ vaccines for patients bitten by mad dogs on war-footing.
