Deputy Superintendent of police (DSP) Tariq Malik of the Sindh police died of Covid-19 at a private hospital on Thursday.
The latest victim in the police force, DSP Tariq Malik, had been suffering from coronavirus complications after testing positive about one month ago. He was posted at District East’s Special Branch. His family members and police confirmed that DSP Malik had been down with Covid-19 and doctors had been trying to save his life.
A large number of police officials and family members attended his funeral prayers. He was laid to rest at a graveyard in Orangi Town. The deceased police officer has left his behind a widow, a son and two daughters.
