CCPO urges citizens to register their tenants

LAHORE:Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) and Lahore Additional IG Ghulam Mahmood Dogar has urged the citizens to make the registration of their tenants mandatory so as to avoid any untoward situation including illegal possession. Lahore Police has also provided online tenants registration facilities in this regard.

CCPO Lahore was presiding over a high level meeting to review the overall performance of Anti-Qabza Mafia Cell, held at Capital City Police Headquarters on Wednesday. SSP Operations Ahsan Saif Ullah, SSP Discipline Nadeem Abbas, SSP Legal Sheikh Asif, all divisional SsP, members of allied departments including Revenue, Overseas Pakistanis, Cooperative and LDA attended the meeting.

Ghulam Mahmood Dogar directed the concerned officers to take strict and indiscriminate action again the land grabbers and the illegal occupants on properties of citizens. He directed them to deal the cases of Overseas Pakistanis as well as poor and destitute people on priority basis. He said registration of tenants in nearby police stations is mandatory for all citizens and legal action against both tenants and property owners will be taken in case of any violation. Dogar has appealed citizens to register their complaints regarding illegal possession on their properties at Anti Qabza Cell or dedicated helpline 1242 as immediate action will be initiated for redress of their genuine grievances.
