MINGORA: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) provincial Chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao on Tuesday accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rulers of deceiving the nation by fudging the figures about the economic growth rate.

Speaking at a meeting of party office-bearers in Dangram in Swat, he said the government had left the people at the mercy of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The meeting also reviewed the arrangements for the gathering being held under the banner of the Pakistan Democratic

Movement (PDM) in Swat on July 4.

Sikandar Sherpao said the QWP workers would participate in the July 4 public meeting of the PDM in large numbers.

He vowed that the struggle from the PDM platform would continue till the ouster of the PTI government. The QWP leader said that the frequent reshuffle in the federal cabinet showed that the government lacked the ability to deliver.

The number of people living under the power line had increased manifold in recent years, which

spoke volumes about the poor performance of the incumbent government, he added.

He demanded the government to announce the National Finance Commission award as the smaller federating units were deprived of financial resources.

Sikandar Sherpao also sought the release of the net hydel profit arrears.
