Girl among two shot dead in separate incidents

LAHORE:A 19-year-old girl and a youth were shot dead in in different parts of the City on Sunday. The girl was killed in the Ghaziabad area. During an altercation, the accused opened fire on the house of one Shabir Hussain, as a result, the girl Sana, who was washing clothes, came under the firing range and suffered a fatal bullet wound. She was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead. Police said that an old enmity led to the incident. Police arrested two suspects.

Meanwhile, a youth was shot dead by his stepfather at Jhugian Nagra Nawankot. The victim has been identified as Farooq. The bodies were removed to morgue. Two die in road accident: Two persons were killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a truck on Ferozepur Road at Old Kahna on Sunday.

Both victims, yet to be identified, died on the spot. Rescuers removed the bodies to morgue. The accident occurred due to the rashly-driven truck. The accused driver escaped from the scene.
