FC arrests 14 militants
QUETTA: Three alleged militants were killed in an exchange of fire with Frontier Corps Balochistan personnel in the Kech Turbat area on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the FC said here that following intelligence information, FC teams launched a search operation in Kech Turbat where armed militants hiding in a house opened indiscriminate fire on them.
The FC personnel retaliated. “The gun battle between the FC personnel and the militants continued for four hours, resulting in the killing of four militants,” he said.The search operation was launched after few workers of some political parties had been abducted by armed men in the Mekran division.
Meanwhile, the Frontier Corps Balochistan has arrested 14 alleged militants in Bar Aab area who were allegedly involved in attacking an FC check-post.An FC official said that following intelligence information, they conducted a raid in a Bar Aab area and arrested 14 alleged militants who had entered into Pakistan from Afghanistan to carry out sabotage activities.
“The accused had been involved in attacking an FC camp in Chagai in the past and fled to Afghanistan,” they said.The accused were being interrogated by special investigation teams.
