Burning leaves
The practice by the cleaning staff of the Government Post Degree College in Abbottabad of burning leaves in the open is affecting students, the college faculty and the neighbouring residential colony. When I approached the college to protest over this health hazardous practice and show them how to make compost, the security staff posted at the gate refused to allow me to talk to the administration.
Moreover, the college administration refuses to allow students to park their motorcycles inside the spacious college ground, forcing them to park them on the footpath. This footpath is situated on the narrowest stretch of the College Road, which already has an illegal cart stand. This results in artificially-induced road blocks and traffic.
