MULTAN: An alleged terrorist, Bilal Laang, killed in a shoot-out with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), was in fact one of the main accused and facilitator in Ali Haider Gillani’s abduction and Multan police traced out his links with Tehreek Taliban Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, police sources said.
Ali Gillani’s abduction case complainant Nazar Mohyud Din had nominated Bilal Laang for facilitating and kidnapping Ali Haider Gillani as the case No 280/13 was registered with the Multan Seetal Marri police on May 9, 2013.
According to preliminary police report, complainant Nazar Mohyudin nominated Bilal Laang in Ali Haider Gillani’s abduction case on March 12, 2015 after 22 months of the incident. Nazar Mohiuddin is the father of Ghulam Mustafa Mohyul Din, secretary to Ali Haider Gillani. Ghulam Mustafa was killed in the kidnapping bid on resistance.
The shoot-out took place in Mandi Faizabad, Nankana Sahib district, Friday last. No police official was willing to say anything on record. The CTD could not be reached for confirmation.
