The Islamabad Stock Exchange's (ISE) benchmark 10-share index increased 79.58 points, or 2.93 percent, to close at 2,773.47 points.
Volumes, however, plunged to a turnover of 1,000 from 62,000 shares turnover in the previous session.
Of the total of 151 active shares on board, 112 closed with increase in their prices, and 39 closed with decline.
Price of top gainer Highnoon laboratories increased Rs24.47 while Murree Brewery decreased Rs51.80. Volume leader was Silkbank limit with 1000 shares.
