Rajwana for US role in ensuring balance of power in region

Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has said that Pakistan rendered ople and devastated areas and to boost its economy.
The whole nation was united to eliminate extremism and terrorism from our land and we have gained significant progress in this regard, he said while talking to newly-appointed US ambassador to Pakistan, Mr David Hale, who called on him at Governor House on Friday and discussed matters of mutual interests, including regional security, elimination of terrorism, Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the Heart of Asia Conference.
Punjab Governor said Pakistan had been a peaceful atomic power and always made sincere and practical efforts for maintaining peace in the region, adding that Islamabad wanted to sort out all important issues with India through negotiation. He said the peace of the whole world was linked to peace and stability in South Asia and US should play a pivotal role in ensuring balance of power in the region.
US Ambassador David Hale said the US always appreciated Pakistan’s role in war on terror and to eliminate the forces creating terrorism, and would keep playing its role to ensure peace in the world. He said the US and the whole world stood along with Pakistan in the war on terror since it was not the war of Pakistan only but also for the future of the world. The US ambassador said US gave great value to its ties with Pakistan and intended to see Pakistan a stable, prosperous and strong country in the comity of nations. He said US wanted to boost its bilateral cooperation with Pakistan especially in the fields of education, health, Industry, infrastructure and energy.
