PESHAWAR: The members of the Frontier Printers and Publishers Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Tuesday took out a rally to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day.
The day is celebrated annually on December 9 across the globe to raise awareness among the people about the menace of corruption.The rally started from the Kabuli Chowk and reached the Soekarno Chowk. President of the association Zafar Khattak led the rally. The speakers highlighted the importance of the observing of the day and implications of corruption on the society.
They said that corruption posed threats to society, undermining the institutions, jeopardising sustainable development and the rule of law. They urged the government to take tangible steps to discourage the menace.
