Bangladesh, Ireland qualify for women’s World T20

BANGKOK: Bangladesh pulled off a comfortable 31-run victory over Zimbabwe in the first semi-final of the ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifier and qualified for the women’s world T20 in India.
Bangladesh made 89 for 5 in 20 overs and then bowled Zimbabwe out for 58 in just 19.1 overs at the Terdthai Cricket Ground.
Rumana Ahmed starred with the ball as she picked up 12 wickets in four matches, winning a second player of the match award in the competition.
Ireland bowlers, led by right-arm medium pacer Lucy O’Reilly (3-16), put up a collective effort to secure a nine-wicket win over Scotland in the second semi-final.
