Army, Rangers to be deployed for 3rd phase

On the request of the Punjab government, 56 army and nine companies of Punjab Rangers would be deployed in the province in order to maintain law and order in the province during the third phase of local government elections to be held on December 5, 2015.
According to sources in Punjab Home Department, five companies of army and two companies of Rangers would be deployed in Rawalpindi, four companies of army at Bahawalpur, four companies of army and one company of Rangers at RY Khan, six companies of army and two companies of Rangers at Multan, 10 companies of army and one company of Rangers at DG Khan, six companies of army at Layyah, six companies of army and one company of Rangers at Muzaffarghar, two companies of army at Rajanpur, four companies of army and one company of Rangers at Sialkot, two companies of army at Narowal, three companies of army at Khushab and four companies army and one company of Rangers at Jhang.
Edhi performance: Edhi Ambulance Service shifted 1,287 dead bodies and 3,130 patients to their homes from hospitals during the month of November.
The service shifted dead bodies of 112 accident victims in different parts of cities. They shifted 425 injured persons to their destination.
Edhi Foundation arranged burial of 20 unclaimed dead bodies. Edhi Foundation shifted 135 out of 345 persons, who were admitted to Balqis Edhi Home to their homes. Edhi Free Dispensary provided free medicine to 9,632 patients. Edhi Free Langer service provided free food to 13,797 hungry people. Edhi spokesperson appealed to public for cooperation and asked to call at 115 in case of any emergency.
