WAPDA clinch Junior, Cadet Karate C’ships

KARACHI: WAPDA won the National Junior and Cadet Karate championships which were held here at the Sindh Sports Board (SSB) Complex in Nazimabad.
WAPDA led the junior boys event by bagging 90 points. Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa claimed second and third positions respectively.
In the junior girls category, WAPDA also stood first with 120 points. Balochistan ended second with 100 points, while Islamabad finished third with 45 points.
The cadet boys title went to Balochistan, who claimed 50 points. KP and Army secured second and third positions respectively.
The cadet girls title went to Islamabad, who secured 35 points. They were followed by WAPDA and Sindh with 30 points each, who claimed second and third positions respectively. Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) president Lt Gen (retd) Arif Hasan graced the closing ceremony.
