Many food outlets sealed over poor hygiene

Punjab Food Authority (PFA) continued operation against small and middle class food vendors, hotels and restaurants on Monday.
PFA officials said Samanabad Town team of PFA sealed Arshad Samosa Patti for unhygienic conditions. The team sealed Fresh Juice Corner, Kaka Paan Shop, Nirala Paan Shop, Alkhair Milk Shop, Aziz General Store, Suleman Store and Younas Paan Shop for operating without food licence. The team imposed fine on Farooq Cooking centre for various violations.
PFA’s Ravi Town team re-sealed Malik Sweets Shop, which was sealed on Sunday. A case was also registered against the owner while two persons were also arrested from the shop. Later, the team sealed Chairman Store, Sheikh Brothers store and Bismillah Milk Shop for various violations. In Gulberg Town, PFA team sealed Ali Paan Shop, Wahab Dairy, Khalil Store, Samih Store and Forest Café for various violations. In Data Town, team sealed a Tuc shop of pharmacy department of Punjab University and Saqib Bawarchi due to various violations. In Aziz Bhatti Town, PFA team sealed Rafique Naan Shop and Zahid Catering while fine was imposed on Spicy Burger for different violations. In Allama Iqbal Town, PFA team sealed Shahbaz Hotel, Malik Ge Hotel, Niazi Hotel and Aslam Hotel for unhygienic sanitary conditions and other violations.
