Alleged robber killed in encounter

Nawankot police killed an alleged robber in an encounter while two others managed to escape from the scene in the wee hours of Monday. Police have recovered a stolen bike and weapon from the crime scene. Three bikers were busy in looting one Bilal Qasab of Sabzazar near Bakar Mundi Nawankot. As police mobile reached the scene, robbers opened fire. Police retaliated in the same fashion during which a robber was killed. Police have removed the body to morgue for autopsy. He has been identified as Naveed. A case has also been registered. —Correspondent
