Grand operation against sale of
adulterated milk to be launched in Faisalabad Div

FAISALABAD: The Divisional Task Force for Anti-Adulteration has decided to launch a grand operation against the sale of adulterated and substandard milk and its products in the division.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the Divisional Task Force held at the Commissioner Office here on Thursday. The meeting decided that pickets would be set up at entry points of the districts for instant testing of milk carried by the milkmen. Speaking on the occasion, Divisional Task Force Chairman MPA Haji Khalid Saeed said that the menace of adulteration in the edibles would be eradicated with full legal force under the vision of CM Shahbaz Sharif for ensuring availability of pure food to the masses.
Commissioner Nasim Nawaz directed the officers concerned to carryout special operation against the adulteration in milk immediately. He said that the elements involved in the adulteration in food items should not be spared as these were enemies of the human health. RPO Ahsan Tufail said that the police would extend full support to the raiding teams and immediate legal action would be taken against the accused of adulteration.
During the meeting, the DCOs of Jhang, Faisalabad, Toba Tek and Chiniot informed about details of inspections of markets, shops, hotels and other food outlets and said that a number of factories and hotels had been sealed for producing and keeping adulterated and substandard food items.
Faisalabad DCO Noorul Amin Mengal said that the district food quality control board had also been functioning for coordinating the efforts and measures against the sale of adulterated food items.
