PM’s granddaughter is now a law graduate

ISLAMABAD: Ms Mehar un Nisa Safdar has done law graduation with distinction from University of London (UOL). She is granddaughter of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and daughter of Maryam Nawaz and Capt Muhammad Safdar MNA and Chairman Standing Committee of the National Assembly for Information Technology.
Mehar who will be tying knot next month with Chaudhary Raheel Munir, has done her LL.B in honour from the UOL will be awarded the degree in a prestigious ceremony to be scheduled early next year. Mehar un Nisa, who is a keen student of contemporary laws and history of laws, has attained distinction in the “Conflict of Laws,” Merits in European Laws and Islamic Laws.
Her maternal grandmother and First Lady Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz were present in London to joy when the result was announced. They were extremely happy about it and profusely felicitated by the relatives on the achievement.
Interestingly Nawaz Sharif is also a law graduate from Punjab University Lahore and presented gift of English translation of Holy Quran to his granddaughter as souvenir on the success, the sources in the PM House told The News here Thursday. The family celebrated first law graduate from the grandchildren of Premier Nawaz in modest manner, the sources added.
