“I had a meeting with International Boxing Association (amateur) AIBA and Asian Boxing Confederation (ASBC) presidents in Doha last month,” Doda told the reporters after a press briefing regarding National Boxing Championship on Saturday.
“I was informed after a few days that they would like Pakistan to host the Asian Youth Championship in 2016,” he added.
“It will be a major event and help to boost Pakistan’s boxing,” he said. “We would like to host it next year by September,” he added. He said 35 nations from across Asia will participate in the competition.
