Ambassador of Turkey Sadik Babur Girgin visited Bahria University, Islamabad. The visit was organised by Career Pakistan with the collaboration of Bahria University.
Rector of Bahria University Vice Admiral (r) Tanveer Faiz welcomed the ambassador to the university. During meeting Sadik Babur and Rector BU shared ideas on academic collaboration between Bahria University and Turkish universities which can lead to enrolment of more students in graduate and postgraduate programmes and increased research collaboration. He also talked about scholarships, student exchange programme which can provide our teacher and students opportunities of training and upgrading the departments with latest teaching techniques material.
While addressing the audience, the ambassador talked about “Turkey’s Recent Economic Progress” in which he highlighted the factors which led to economic development and growth of Turkey. He pointed out political stability as the most important factor in economic development. Economic relations and its potential among Pakistan and Turkey was also highlighted. The lecture was arranged to educate students and promote knowledge about economic development and relations of the two countries. The relations between Pakistan and Turkey have flourished successfully over the years in nearly all areas particularly in cultural, political, economic and defence fields. The ambassador was of the view that Pakistan possesses immense natural and human resources. The economic development of Pakistan is in a positive trajectory. With the completion of energy projects, the economic activities are likely to pick up further and opening more opportunities for business.
