LAHORE Without official approval, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing companies Monday increased price of cooking fuel by Rs 5 per kg, which translated into Rs 60 per domestic and Rs 240 per commercial cylinder. According to Irfan Khokhar, Chairman, LPG Distributors Association, the increase in Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) price is arbitrary as it is announced without approval of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. He claimed that government as well as Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) local producer did not increase the prices. He alleged that public sector LPG companies are leading in jacking up price of LPG. Irfan Khokhar announced to protest against what he called unjustified price hike of LPG today (Tuesday) in the provincial metropolis.
