An anti-dengue seminar was organised by Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) at Morgah, says a press release.
The aim of the seminar was to educate the staff of ARL and people living in surrounding areas for taking preventive measures to eradicate dengue virus during the ongoing season.
A large number of people from the local community, district administration, civil society, officials from various government departments and local school teachers and students participated.
Doctors from Attock Hospital (Pvt) Limited (AHL), assistant commissioner of Rawalpindi and representative from Punjab Agriculture Department highlighted preventive measures against the spread of dengue.
This session was concluded by head of the Department of Human Resource & Administration of ARL.
He emphasised the need to be proactive in combating the dengue virus and highlighted that 90% of dengue larva breeds from our homes due to lack of awareness.
In the end, he thanked all the participants for sparing time and said that ARL is taking all preventive measures to eradicate the growth and spread of dengue virus and special teams have been geared up by ARL for hot and cold fumigation and spray on daily basis and to build the capacity in this respect.
